Rather than writing a formal artist bio or statement, I want to give myself the space to express all the things that feed my artistic vision. So, I’m giving myself an entire section of the site to put up whatever strikes me as important, interesting, or just seems like it might be remotely pertinent to my artistic development.
Eventually I may add a formal artist statement. Maybe I’ll include background on my FOO (family of origin), the influence of my FOC (family of choice) and friends, and what little formal education and training I’ve received as a writer, poet, and artist. I’ll probably document my creative partnership with my mate/life partner here as well. I’d have no current creative identity if sie hadn’t encouraged and supported me through the cocoon stage of my life.
I’m not going to lock myself into any expectations of what ‘should’ go here. It will just be whatever it is meant to be.
